Important message: Fabli price increase in 2026
Share
Since our launch in Quebec last April, our mission with Fabli has not changed: to offer your children a world of imagination, away from screens, with a durable product designed here.
Today, we want to talk to you transparently about how our adventure has evolved.
As you may have noticed, the technology industry is going through a period of great turbulence. The cost of electronic components, and particularly storage memory (which allows the Fabli to contain all its stories), has skyrocketed in recent months.
To continue manufacturing a high-quality player without compromising on robustness or safety, we need to adjust our price.
Effective March 1, 2026, the price of the Fabli will increase from $160 to $169 online and at partner stores. To offset this increase, we have just added two new exclusive items to our library, bringing the total to 42 included activities:
- " Breathe ": A guided breathing session with customizable duration to help your children regain calm and relax.
- " I'm learning music: By the light of the moon ": An interactive game to explore and learn music while having fun.
This content is already available for free download to all our current and future users.
Last chance to take advantage of the current price before the increase
If you were planning to give a Fabli as a gift for an upcoming birthday or simply to reduce screen time at home, we wanted to let you know before this change takes effect. You have until March 1st to purchase the Fabli at its current price.
Thank you for helping us nurture the imaginations of children in Quebec (and soon elsewhere!).

To learn more about the impacts of the components market
Over the past year, several essential components have seen their cost increase dramatically.
The memory chip, at the heart of Fabli's operation, is the most striking example: it cost around $2 at the beginning of the year, slightly over $4 in July, now reaches more than $8 and is expected to climb to around $14 in the first months of 2026. This explosion is linked to the global strain on semiconductors and the scarcity of certain specialized formats.
We explored all the alternatives, but none met the reliability, compatibility, and safety requirements we consider essential. Other components—audio module, battery, microcontroller—are following the same path. On a compact and demanding device like Fabli, every price increase adds up. We refuse to compensate for these increases with a drop in quality. No flimsy plastics, no low-grade batteries, no compromises on safety or durability.
In parallel, we continue to invest in creating educational and calming content, in collaboration with authors and child development specialists. This effort is not directly reflected in the price, but it is part of what makes Fabli unique.
