This wonderful ecological tale tells the adventures of Gaya, a curious little girl who tries to understand why the well near her grandfather's house is dry.
Whose fault is it? To get an answer, Gaya explores the surrounding forest and questions a century-old oak tree, an outraged squirrel, a very dignified Great Horned Owl, and a busy beaver. Everyone points the finger at their neighbor! But her grandfather and an almanac as old as he is will help her in her quest.
Poetic illustrations and tender, playful songs powerfully accompany this optimistic story, which invites us to believe that all new beginnings are possible.
