3 games to master the sounds of the French language!

Give your child a comprehensive learning programme to master the sounds of the French language. This trio of activities has been designed to guide your child step by step, from auditory discovery to actively manipulating words.

Three stages for rock-solid phonological awareness!

1. L'Éveil aux Sons : Getting used to the sounds

It all starts with listening. In this first stage, children become familiar with 32 sounds of the French language. Through repetition and immersion, they learn to distinguish between simple and then complex sounds. This is the essential foundation for what follows.

2. Les défis de Phonème : Becoming a detective

Once the ear is attuned, it’s time for a challenge! This interactive activity invites your child to have fun with French words by precisely isolating the sounds that make them up. It’s the ideal exercise for strengthening phonemic awareness whilst having fun.

3. Phonème a dit : Moving and Manipulating

To cement what’s been learnt, nothing beats movement! This final section turns the home into a playground. Alone or in pairs, you must find a real object matching the requested sound before the timer stops.
